Trésor Cherin’s works combine the tradition of Congolese popular painting with his own unique style. His paintings often employ surreal and whimsical elements while focusing on themes of everyday life in his home of Kinshasa, DRC. Self-taught, he honed his skill as an apprentice in the studio of his uncle, the famous “Popular Painter” Chéri Cherin.
