Lives and works in Kinshasa, DRC
Congolese artist Dolet Malalu’s unique and provocative style of Urban Art draws from what the artist sees around him in the streets of Kinshasa and other cities. His subjects often embody the spirit of the Congolese cultural movement known La Sape (société des ambianceurs et des personnes élégantes). Working in acrylic with pastels on canvas, his works highlight his country’s culture in a unique style among contemporary Congolese artists.
